BBC Wildlife Magazine welcomes photographic submissions, but we do have a large number of wildlife photographic agencies on our files, in addition to over 100 worldwide professional wildlife photographers.
When we need specific shots to illustrate our regular sections of the Magazine, we contact a selected number of photographic agencies and individuals, which together may represent several hundred photographers. In this way, we are able to view a large selection of pictures with the minimum administration.
Tips:
It is mandatory that all photographic features submitted have a clear story to warrant reader interest, along with accurate captions.
35mm transparencies are the preferred format for submissions, but digital images may be considered if the quality and content is acceptable.
Alternatively, unsolicited photographic feature ideas may be submitted with a cover note explaining the story and a CD of low-resolution jpegs, which can be viewed quickly and assessed for suitability.
Please send your photographic submissions to: Sophie Stafford, BBC Wildlife Magazine, 14th Floor, Tower House, Fairfax Street, Bristol BS1 3BN.
